CA SUPREME COURT DENIES CHALLENGE OF SENATE MAPS

The California Supreme Court is sticking with new Senate maps approved by a newly-formed citizen’s commission. The high court announced their decision today. The clarification was needed because a Republican-backed group opposes the commission’s new maps and wants voters to decide where the boundaries should be. The group says they've collected enough signatures to get a referendum on the ballot. But, they need to be validated.
